Inspired by 80s logos and a funky 90s colour palette I created a logotype for a new band arriving to the music scene. Using the logo styles the client liked and reasserting myself logos of similar genred artists in the industry this was the result... a out of line, edgy logotype bursting with energy. Many coloured variations were also created using the same colour palette for the diverse usage the logo will be used for, on products and merch for the band.

Adidas brief - Changing lives through sport in cities worldwide

Open Brief, Advertising, Design, Product & Service Innovations

Adidas set the New Blood brief to challenge us to use the power of sport as a catalyst for change. To make an innovative product, service, brand experience or campaign aimed at 17-25 year olds in any of adidas’ key cities.

I made a campaigned designed to increase activity in cities around the world, by highlighting how close subway stations are to one another in adidas’ major cities.

Available for Hire! A self-promotion piece I designed to include at the end of my portfolio and in my CV to help make it stand out. One of the longest self-initiated projects I have done as I wanted to explore the style of traditional typography composition. Starting with sketches I then scanned it into illustrator to victories it.

All In One Service

This project was for a rebrand design and identity project for a cleaning company. First I designed 3 different options for the client to review before developing the chosen design further. The logo was a stand alone logo design and in addition I designed the business cards for the company.

Self Initiated Project, answering my question of; How can you represent our alphabet visually, other than through the creation of typographic letter forms.

Taking a recording of the spoken alphabet, I created waveform graphics representing each letter. Which was then overlaid over the letter it represented on tracing paper in a bound publication.

For this project we were to create an outcome which creates either an intervention or to re-purpose an existing typographic system via the language and medium of typography.

The Brief: Read and gain a good understanding of The Machine Stops. You are asked to create a purely typographic response using the entire text. You may include elements such as tone/ texture/ mark making/ shape/ line, however the use of photographic images/ illustrations is strictly prohibited. This is to encourage you to focus on the typographic decisions you are making in relation to the text.

Story written by E.M. Foster.

‘The Machine Stops’ was first published in book form in The Eternal Moment and Other Stories (London, 1928).

This is a logo design for a new exclusive, high end clothing brand ‘Gordon & Bradford’.

A variation of caps and an elegant serif typeface was used to give the look of exclusivity to the logo. This is a start up at the moment but I look forward to seeing it on a shop front soon!

Baby Beatz Vinyl Sleeve
Baby Beatz Vinyl Sleeve

For this project we had to create a typographic only 12' vinyl sleeve using one typeface only, and a maximum of 2 colours and no images. The typeface I was given was Baby Teeth, Designed by Milton Glaser in 1964. It was a tight brief but good testing restraints to work with. My outcome was an interactive vinyl sleeve that had slits hand cut out the front, which blinked as you pulled the sleeve out, in coherence to the music genre I chose; electro/pop.
